How To Make Money With Ecommerce

Have you ever been scrolling through social media and seen an advertisement from someone you've never heard of thats standing in front of a Lamborghini or Ferrari saying "I can make you money, I promise!" We've all seen it before and admittedly I've wasted many hours watching all 50 minutes of that video thinking they were going to tell me how to generate income online, but then they all end with "just buy my webinar and subscription to find out how to make money online!"

These are all paid advertisements used to grab the viewer in and make them admire their success and hopefully cave in, eventually spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to learn something you could have learned from a couple of books, Google searches, and YouTube videos.

These "wealthy," sometimes actually wealthy, marketers more often than not are offering to teach you how to run an online store to generate income. But what if I told you these stores are not all that hard to actually make? Today we will be talking about the basics behind ecommerce and how you, like all those marketers, can make money online.

Making Your Own Ecommerce Store

It's really not that difficult. You just make a website, have a product, and sell it! Easy enough right?
WRONG. There's much more that goes into it, but don't get discouraged. Many people don't get into selling online because they think that you need to make a product, that's incorrect. In fact, most ecommerce stores don't even sell their own products. Another reason people fear getting into this business is because they believe there's too much up-front cost. Yet again, another misconception. Now I'm not saying that it doesn't cost anything to start up your online store, but when it comes to the product itself, there's a thing called dropshipping. This is an amazing tool when it comes to keeping your costs down. Dropshipping is where a seller has an agreement with the manufacturer to fulfill orders as they are sold and they are then sent directly to the buyer. With this, sellers use wholesalers to get their products at a low cost, have the items sent directly to the buyers, thus eliminating the double shipping cost as well as getting discounted items and making more profit.

Starting up takes time and some research. Most online stores seek success by starting a social media page first and advertising their potential products to see if there is attraction in that market. Then they go on to creating a website, primarily through Shopify or Wordpress, and begin selling to their potential buyer group. You can also start marketing by running giveaways to see if people are interested in your niche.

The most difficult aspect of starting your own store is selecting the right product niche and consumer crowd. It can be frustrating trying to get your first sale, but utilizing advertising tools will get you through the struggle. If you have a quality product and good prices, when advertised to the right crowd, you will see the orders come pooling in. With social media being so popular today, tools like Facebook and Instagram Ads will boost your posts and products to the right people. If you manage your businesses social media accounts well, you will net profits in no time.

With this, we are launching our own online store in order to prove the success in this industry. We will post updates as the store gets rolling and will hopefully influence others to step out of their comfort zone and take advantage of the tech age we live in today!
